This is how a magnetic loop made from RG58 cable works. The loop itself 1.7m in diameter and 5.5m in circumference is tuned by a 2 x 495pf capacitor with alternate thinned plates at 7 MHz. The bandwidth is approximately 50 kHz. The communication loop is made from the same RG58 cable 0.345 m in diameter and 1.1 m in circumference.
