My friend Tysy is currently restoring a big bread- meat- or paper slicer kind of thing. The handle of it was cracked so was the brass ring on it. He asked me if I can make him a new one. The old handle was made of maple so I made the new one with maple too. I decided to make the brass ring a tiny bit bigger and stronger. I remade an alûminium tang to test fit the new handle.
