- This mid century modern dresser makeover didnt turn out exactly as I had thought it would. It was only 25 at the thrift store. Instead of painting it I wanted to strip and refinish it back to its original beautiful natural wood veneer using stripping gel and applied 100 tung oil to bring out the beautiful grain.
